The next stage

Gary has been transferred to an intake facility where he will be evaluated. I guess this process can take awhile. So..he is in the prison system and anything that someone sends will make its way to him.

Sunday night phone talk

Unca Tom and I talked with Gary tonight. He is fine and still in Buncombe County Detention Center. He is very much looking forward to being transferred. As soon as there is a change I will post it. We think Gary is still in the county jail. At least he was when we talked. He said that they only transfer people out on certain days of the week and the next day they transfer is Sunday. He isn't being held at county for any particular reason. It just takes a bit for them to get it together. Then on to the next processing place where he will be evaluated for maybe as long as 6 weeks.
Oh, and he is growing a beard.

Phone talking..

We had a nice conversation with Gary last night. Just for clarification if someone is calling him Gary they are his family. So whenever friends write here go by Garrett as you normally would. This is his Aunt Linda. Anyway...his sister, nephew and my daughter cousin Becky got on i-chat last night a 8:00p.m from Richmond, VA. Gary called Uncle Tom's and my house in Mathews. I got on speaker phone and then set the phone close to the computer and the Richmond group got to talk with Gary. It actually worked beautifully and we all had a nice visit.

We have gotten letters from him which I am going to transcribe and send out in an e-mail. If I could figure out a way to scan them and put the letters into a word document it would be great. He wants someone to put what he has written on his witstream account. All he could write with is a small pencil like you use for golfing. It doesn't make for very good printing. I know he wants to get the word out. I could fax them also and someone could be the transcriber and poster.

Obviously this is a work in progress.
